Begum Yazgan earned her bachelor’s degree from the Istanbul Technical University, Department of Architecture, in 1995. She received her M. Arch in 1998 from the Middle East Technical University. She obtained her PhD degree from the same university in 2007. Her doctoral dissertation entitled “Post-War Systems Ecology and Environmentally-Appropriate Approaches in Architecture since the 1960s” was awarded as the “Best Thesis of the Year” in METU. Currently, she practices at “Yazgan Design Architecture” which she founded with Kerem Yazgan, Ph.D. Architect, in 2003.
